Bar-B is a burger restaurant, grill and beer & cocktail bar in the heart of Amsterdam, on Lange Leidsedwarsstraat just off Leidseplein. We press our own burger patties, make our sauces in-house and work with fresh ingredients. Alongside handmade burgers, grilled meats and spare ribs you'll find 40+ beers, cocktails and wines. Vegetarian and vegan options too, including quinoa, portobello and black-bean burgers.

Bar-B has been around since 2014. It started with our love for a proper burger — and we've been sharing that with our guests ever since.

We choose quality over quantity. You build your own burger from scratch — patty, bun, toppings, sauce and sides — we pour a wide range of beers on tap, and we host events on a regular basis. A great team and a good atmosphere always come first.

Absolutely. With our build-your-own burger you choose your patty, bun, toppings, sauce and sides yourself — so there's something for every diet and every taste.

Yes. We have quinoa, portobello and black-bean burgers, among others, and with the build-your-own option you can put together a fully vegetarian or vegan burger.

Our beer selection is broad and changes regularly. We have four taps — including one seasonal beer — plus Heineken, Lagunitas IPA and Guinness on micro draught, alongside a wide range of specialty beers.

Our meat comes from a local butcher and our vegetables are delivered fresh every day. We're also in the process of switching to halal — feel free to ask us about the current status.

The kitchen closes at 23:00. On special days — such as New Year's, King's Day, Pride and ADE — we're sometimes open later.

Everything from pub quizzes, comedy and dinner nights to trivia and student nights, company dinners, birthdays and bachelor/bachelorette parties. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll make it happen.

We've hosted groups of 65+ guests. Get in touch for the options based on your group size and preferred setup.

The back room has a projector, screen, separate sound system and a microphone — suitable for presentations, birthdays, comedy nights and more.

It depends on your wishes. A group of 10–20 can sometimes be accommodated even a day in advance if we have space. For larger or more elaborate events we ask for a bit more lead time.

A deposit usually isn't required; this can vary per event. We're happy to arrange the details with you.

Our strength is company dinners, birthdays and group celebrations. For large weddings we're less suited, but feel free to reach out — we're glad to think along with you.

Yes, we're very well connected by public transport, and taxis are readily available.

We accept all common payment methods, with the exception of American Express (Amex).

Smoking and vaping indoors isn't allowed — this applies across the entire EU.

Absolutely, everyone is welcome. Safety matters to us: if a guest feels uncomfortable, we always step in. The street is covered by cameras and the police station is a 3-minute walk away.
